RAW files
Deliver camera RAW files in a gallery: the formats, size limits, what clients see and download, and storage.
You can put camera RAW files in a gallery, for clients who want the files straight from the camera.
Formats and limits
- Accepted: ARW, CR2, CR3, NEF, NRW, DNG, RAF, ORF, RW2, PEF and SRW.
- Each file can be up to 300 MB.
- RAW files go in galleries only, not in your website images. For your website, export a JPEG.
Upload
Drop RAW files into the gallery's upload box on the Photos tab, on their own or with other photos. You can also publish them from Lightroom Classic (see Publish from Lightroom Classic).
Location data is removed from the file itself.
What clients see
Clients see the JPEG preview your camera built into the file. Sony and many other cameras build in a full-size one. Tiles say RAW.
Downloads
Clients can download the RAW file itself, shown as RAW file with its type, like RAW file (.ARW), plus the usual JPEG sizes. Downloads follow the gallery's download rules and PIN. See Download rules and the download PIN.
Storage
RAW files count toward your storage like any other file. On Pro, RAW files can take up to 1TB in total. See Storage, video hours and fair use.
