Terms of Service

Effective October 22, 2026 · Version 2026-10-22 · Flashslash Labs LLC

The agreement between Flashslash Labs LLC and the photographers and studios who use Flashslash.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Flashslash is operated by Flashslash Labs LLC ("Flashslash", "we", "us"). These terms apply to anyone who creates or uses a studio account on Flashslash: the studio's owner and anyone they invite (together "you"). By creating an account or using Flashslash, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.

If you sign up on behalf of a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

2. What Flashslash does

Flashslash gives photographers a website, online booking, client portal, forms and contracts, galleries, email to clients and the tools to run them. We host it, keep it running, and improve it over time. Features may change; we won't remove something central to how you work without reasonable notice.

Flashslash is a tool for your business. You decide who your clients are, what you offer, what you charge and what you send them.

3. Your account

Give accurate details and keep your password safe. Turning on two-step sign-in is strongly recommended. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your studio; you can remove them any time.

Tell us right away at security@flashslashapp.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4. Plans, trial and billing

New studios get a 14-day free trial with no card required. To keep using the studio after the trial, choose a paid plan. Current plans and prices are shown on the Billing page and at signup.

Plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices don't include taxes, which are added where required.

Each plan includes an amount of storage for photos and other files, and hours of video. Flashslash doesn't sell add-ons: for more room, move to a bigger plan on the Billing page. If a studio reaches its storage or video limit, new uploads wait until it has room again; nothing already stored is removed and nothing is charged automatically.

Unlimited storage (on the plans that include it) is for a photography business's own work, under fair use. Most studios store far less, but if a studio's storage passes about 5 TB, or its RAW files pass 1 TB, we'll get in touch to agree what suits it best. Nothing is removed or blocked without talking to you first, except new RAW uploads past 1 TB.

Video hours count the length of the videos you keep, including ones in your trash. Streaming plays at up to 1080p; clients can download the original file in full quality on plans that include 4K.

You can change or cancel your plan any time from Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period. Billing questions: billing@flashslashapp.com.

5. If a payment fails

If a renewal payment fails, everything keeps working for 7 days while you update your card. After that the studio is restricted (you can sign in, see everything and pay, but can't start new work such as uploads or online bookings) and, 14 days later, suspended (your website and client pages show as temporarily unavailable). Paying restores everything; nothing is deleted because of a failed payment.

6. Payments from your clients

Your clients pay you through your own Stripe account, which you connect in Flashslash. Those payments are between you, your client and Stripe, under Stripe's own terms. Flashslash doesn't take a fee from them and isn't a party to them. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks on your clients' payments are yours to handle in your Stripe account.

Payment processing services for studios on Flashslash are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (together, the "Stripe Services Agreement"), available at stripe.com/legal/connect-account. By connecting Stripe, you agree to the Stripe Services Agreement, as Stripe may modify it from time to time. As a condition of Flashslash enabling payments through Stripe, you agree to provide Flashslash accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorize Flashslash to share it and transaction information related to your use of Stripe's payment processing services with Stripe.

7. Your content and your clients' data

Your photos, text, designs and records belong to you. You give us permission to store, process, display and send them only as needed to run your studio on Flashslash (for example, to show your galleries to your clients and make smaller copies of your photos).

You're responsible for having the right to everything you upload, including permission from the people in your photos where the law requires it, and for how you use your clients' personal information. For that information, you're in charge (the "controller") and we act on your instructions (the "processor"), as set out in the Data Processing Agreement.

You can export your records and photos any time from Your data in the studio admin.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use Flashslash to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, send spam or unwanted email, upload malware, share sexual content involving minors or non-consensual intimate images, harass anyone, or try to access another studio's data or get around security or plan limits.

We may remove content or suspend a studio that breaks these rules, or when needed to protect other studios, clients or the service. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

If too many of your emails bounce or are reported as spam, sending from your studio pauses automatically until the cause is fixed. This protects delivery for every studio.

9. Support access

To help with a problem you've raised, our support staff may view your studio as you or a member of your team would. This is read-only unless changing something is needed to help you, every session requires a written reason, lasts no more than an hour, and is recorded in your studio's activity log. Support can never change your billing, passwords, two-step sign-in, Stripe connection or team roles.

10. Leaving Flashslash

Anything you delete (a gallery, a photo, a video) goes to your trash first, where you can restore it for 30 days; after that it's deleted for good, including its backup copy.

You can delete your studio from Your data. Deletion happens 30 days after you ask, so you have time to download everything or change your mind; your plan stops renewing right away. After that, your website and client records are removed permanently, and your photos 30 days later (so a mistake can still be undone), apart from what we must keep by law (such as billing records) and what remains in database backups until they roll off, within 30 days.

We may end these terms for a studio that seriously or repeatedly breaks them, or that stays suspended for non-payment for 90 days, after giving notice by email and time to export. A free trial that ends without a plan being chosen ends 60 days after the trial does, and its studio is then deleted, after notice by email (30 days and 7 days before) and time to export.

11. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Flashslash available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. Planned maintenance is done at quiet times where possible.

Your records are in a managed database with point-in-time restore. Your photos are stored with our storage provider on redundant hardware, but we don't keep a second, separate copy of them, so please keep your own originals.

We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we'll tell studio owners in the admin or by email before they take effect, and ask you to accept them. If you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.

12. Warranties and liability

Flashslash is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not written in these terms, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent the law allows, Flashslash Labs LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to Flashslash is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

13. Indemnity

You'll defend and indemnify Flashslash Labs LLC against third-party claims arising from your content, your use of Flashslash in breach of these terms, or your dealings with your clients, including their payments.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and both of us agree to their jurisdiction. Before going to court, we'll both try in good faith to settle the dispute by talking it through.

15. Everything else

These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement are the whole agreement between us about Flashslash. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. You can't transfer your account without our agreement; we may transfer these terms as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, and will tell you if we do.
