Proofing and your watermark
Show watermarked photos for clients to choose favorites, and set the watermark: the word PROOF or your logo.
A proofing gallery is for choosing, not delivering. Clients see watermarked photos, heart their favorites and send you their picks. There are no downloads.
Turn on proofing
- Open the gallery's Settings tab.
- Under Downloads, tick Proofing: show watermarked photos for choosing favorites, no downloads.
- Click Save settings.
Flashslash makes the watermarked copies right away, so the first visit isn't slow. Your client sees a note that the gallery is for choosing favorites and that downloads come later.
To deliver the photos afterwards, untick proofing and save. The watermark goes away and downloads follow your download settings.
Your watermark
Go to Galleries > Gallery defaults and find Proof watermark.
- Watermark: The word PROOF, or Your logo. To use your logo, add one first (see Logo, business details and tab icon).
- Where: Repeated across the photo, Center, Bottom right or Bottom left.
- Size: Small, Medium or Large.
- Strength: how strong it shows, from 15% to 80%.
The preview beside it updates as you change things. Click Save watermark. Galleries pick up the new watermark the next time each photo is viewed.
The watermark is used for proofing galleries and for galleries locked until the balance is paid. Proofs are shown at up to 1200px. Downloads are never watermarked.
