The trash
Deleted galleries, photos and videos wait in the trash for 30 days, so you can restore them.
When you delete a gallery, photo or video, it moves to the trash. Your client loses access to it at once, but you can put it back for 30 days.
Open the trash
Go to Galleries and click Trash at the top. It lists deleted galleries, and deleted photos and videos, with the date each one was deleted and the date it goes for good.
Restore
- Click Restore next to a gallery, photo or video to put it back.
- Click Restore all above the photos and videos to put them all back.
Delete for good
Click Delete now next to an item, then click again to confirm. To clear every photo and video at once, click Delete all now. This can't be undone.
After 30 days in the trash, an item is deleted for good by itself. That includes its backup copy and, for a video, its streaming copy.
Storage
Items in the trash still count toward your storage, and videos toward your video hours, until they're deleted for good. To free space sooner, use Delete now. See Storage, video hours and fair use.
From Lightroom
If you publish from Lightroom Classic, removing a photo from the collection and publishing also moves it to the trash. See Publish from Lightroom Classic.
