Replace photos with your final edits
Swap the photos in a gallery (test uploads, proofs or quick edits) for your finished files.
Flashslash doesn't swap a photo for a new version of it. Uploading an edited file with the same name adds it as another photo, unless it's exactly the same size, when it's skipped as already uploaded. To replace photos, delete the old ones first, then upload the new ones.
Replace every photo
- Open the gallery and go to the Photos tab.
- Tick All N photos in this gallery (N is your photo count).
- Click Delete in the bar at the bottom of the screen, then click again to confirm.
- Upload your final edits. They land in file name order and the first one becomes the cover.
Replace some photos
Choose the old photos by ticking them, holding Shift to tick a run, or typing their numbers after Select by numbers. Delete them, then upload the new files. New photos go to the end of the gallery, so if order matters, replace everything instead.
Before you delete
- Deleted photos move to the trash. Your client can't see them, and you can restore them for 30 days. See The trash.
- If your client has already picked favorites, copy the loved file names from the Client feedback tab first (see See favorites, activity and downloads).
- Scenes are on the photos, so set them again for the new upload. Typing the scene before you upload is quickest (see Scenes, photo numbers and bulk tools).
- Only owners and admins can delete photos.
