Delete photos and galleries
Move single photos, many photos at once, or a whole gallery to the trash, and free up storage.
Deleting a photo, video or gallery moves it to the trash. Your client loses access at once. You can restore it from Galleries > Trash for 30 days, and after that it's deleted for good. Only owners and admins can delete photos and galleries. See The trash.
Delete a photo
- Open the gallery and go to the Photos tab.
- Click the ✕ under the photo.
- Click again on Delete? to confirm.
If it was the cover photo, the gallery falls back to its first photo until you set another.
Delete many photos
- On the Photos tab, choose the photos: tick them (hold Shift to tick a run), click Select by numbers and type a range, or tick All N in this gallery in the bar.
- Click Delete in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Click again to confirm.
A message says how many photos moved to the trash. See Scenes, photo numbers and bulk tools.
Delete a gallery
- Open the gallery and go to the Settings tab.
- At the bottom, type DELETE (in capitals) in the box.
- Click Delete gallery.
You're back on Galleries with a message that the gallery moved to the trash. The link stops working for your client straight away.
Checking your storage
See how much storage you've used on Plan & billing. Gallery photos, RAW files and videos count by the size of their originals. Items in the trash still count until they're deleted for good. See Storage, video hours and fair use.
Flashslash tells you in the app and by email when you pass 80% and 95% of your limit. At the limit, uploads stop until you free space or move to a bigger plan.
