Add photos to your website

Your website's photos are in the website builder. Open Website > Edit website and choose Photos on the left. Until you add your own, sample photos show (faded in the panel). Uploads go live on your site straight away; they aren't part of the draft.

Change photos right on the page

• Your photos (bottom of the preview) holds every website photo and anything you upload. Drag one onto any photo on your page to put it there. The photo it replaces goes back into Your photos, so nothing is lost.
• Drag a photo on the page onto another one to swap them, even between the opening photos and the portfolio.
• Drop photos from your computer straight onto a photo on the page.
• Point at a photo and click Replace photo to pick one from Your photos, or Focus point to click the part that must always stay in view. Every design crops that photo around it.

Find a photo

• From the preview: point at any photo on your site and click Replace photo.
• From the panel: pick a group (Opening photos, Portfolio, About photo, Service cards, Booking page, Contact page). The preview goes to the page that shows it. Click a photo in the panel to outline it in the preview.

Opening photos and Portfolio

1. Click Add photos and choose them. New portfolio photos land in Portraits.
2. Click a photo to change its Caption, Credit, if any and (portfolio) Category. These save as you go. Write the caption like one, for example "Lands End, 7pm".
3. First, ‹ and › move it. Order matters: the first portfolio photos lead your homepage's work section.
4. Take off (then Sure?) removes it.

If Flashslash Assist is switched on, Describe with AI writes captions (and suggests categories) for photos that don't have one. Change any of them after. See Flashslash Assist.

One-photo spots

About photo, each Service card, the Booking page photo (a wide photo above your booking form) and the Contact page photo (beside your inquiry form; until you add one, your About photo shows there). Click Upload or Replace, and Back to sample to remove yours.

Photos that live elsewhere

• Mini session photos: on each mini session.
• Logo and tab icon: in the builder under Site > Logo and name.
• Your website's film: in the builder under Site > Video. See Video on your website.
