Your first booking, end to end
A walkthrough from opening your first times to delivering the gallery.
This walkthrough follows one booking from start to finish, so you can see how the pieces fit together.
1. Get ready
- Check your packages under Packages: names, prices and deposits.
- Open some times under Availability. Clients can only book times you open.
- Connect Stripe so clients can pay a deposit. See Start taking payments with Stripe.
- Remove the example data under Settings > Demo data, so its open times don't show on your booking page.
2. Share your booking link
Copy your booking link from the Share your booking link step in the setup guide on Today, and share it. See Your website address.
3. The client books
On your booking page, the client picks a package and a time, adds their details, then pays the deposit through Stripe. If the package has a contract, they either sign it before paying or get it by email afterwards to sign in their client portal, depending on how you've set it up. They land on a "You're booked" page showing the session, the deposit paid and the balance.
If Stripe isn't connected yet, the client sends an inquiry instead, which shows up in Inquiries.
4. You're told
The booking shows up under the notification bell, on the Calendar, under Upcoming bookings on Today, and on the Bookings board in the Booked column. Your first booking also brings up the numbers at the top of Today.
5. Before the session
Keep an eye on Today: Upcoming bookings marks a session whose contract isn't signed yet, and Needs you lists anything that needs a decision. The number next to Forms & contracts in the menu counts forms and contracts still waiting on a client. You can move the booking to Prepping on the Bookings board.
6. Shoot, edit and deliver
Move the card along the board as the work gets done: Shot, Editing, Delivered, Wrapped. Each card's menu changes the stage.
When the photos are ready, click Create a gallery on Today (or + New, then Gallery), create the gallery for the booking, add photos, and publish it when you're ready.
7. Get paid the balance
The client can pay the balance from their portal. Paid and owing amounts show on the booking and on the board, and you can filter the board by Still owes.
