Invite someone to your team
Send an invitation, what the email says, and how the person sets up their login.
Owners and Admins can invite people. Each person gets their own login, so you never share your password.
Send the invitation
- Open Team (Settings > Team in the menu).
- Under Invite someone, type their Email.
- Choose a Role. The list under it explains each one. See Team roles.
- Click Send invitation.
Only an owner can invite another owner.
If Invite someone says all your seats are in use, you need a free seat first. During the free trial, it says your trial includes 1 seat: the trial is for you alone, and team members come with a plan. See Team seats.
The email they get
The subject is "(your first name) invited you to (your studio)". It says which role you gave them (for an Editor, that they'll work on the studio's galleries; for a Shooter, that they'll see the sessions they're put on) and has an Accept the invitation button. The link works once and expires in 7 days.
Setting up their login
When they click the button:
A page called Join (your studio) shows the role you gave them and the email they'll sign in with.
- New to Flashslash: they fill in Your name, Choose a password (at least 12 characters) and Password again, then click Accept and continue.
- Already have a Flashslash login with that email, for example from another studio: they type Your password and click Accept and continue.
They land in your admin, seeing only what their role allows. An Editor starts on Galleries and a Shooter on My sessions.
If the link has been used, withdrawn or is more than 7 days old, the page says This invitation has expired. Send them a new one.
Waiting to join
Invitations that haven't been accepted yet are listed under Waiting to join, with the role and the date they expire.
- Withdraw cancels an invitation. The link stops working.
- To send a fresh link, invite the same email again. The new invitation replaces the old one and doesn't take another seat.
An open invitation holds a seat until it's accepted, withdrawn or expires.
